Job Summary:
As a scaffolding supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all scaffolding activities on construction sites. You will ensure that scaffolding structures are erected, maintained, and dismantled safely and efficiently, in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Your role will involve overseeing a team of scaffolders, providing guidance and support, and conducting regular inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to plan scaffolding activities according to project requirements.
Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure timely completion of scaffolding tasks.
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead a team of scaffolders, providing clear instructions, guidance, and support.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that each team member understands their responsibilities.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and company policies.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for scaffolding team members.
Perform regular safety inspections of scaffolding structures and equipment.
Quality Assurance:
Oversee the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding systems, ensuring that work is carried out to high-quality standards.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to identify and rectify any defects or issues.
Communication:
Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Report progress, issues, and concerns to project management in a timely manner.
